We are seeking an experienced Naturopath of 2 yrs+ to join our well-regarded Clinic in Wavell Heights, Brisbane. Practising initially 2 or 3 days (including Fridays and Saturdays) and with the genuine opportunity to build a full-time practice within the first 12 months.
This role offers Clinic-led patient growth with established patient demand, strong systems and extensive marketing.
About the Role
This is an in-Clinic role designed for Naturopaths seeking stability and someone else to take care of all the admin, marketing and payments. The role is unfortunately not suited to work-from-home arrangements due to patient requirements.
A minimum of two years’ recent experience treating patients in a clinic environment, including patients presenting with complex and chronic conditions, will allow you to confidently step into the practice we will help you build.
There is flexibility in how the role commences, with room to shape your days and workload as your practice grows. We will work collaboratively with you to support your success and help you run your practice the way you wish to run it and focusing on areas you are particularly interested in.
We do not operate patient or prescribing quotas. We will work with you to agree on what an ideal clinical day looks like for you and for our patients, including appointment lengths, buffers, breaks, and administrative time, to ensure your practice is sustainable and aligned with Brisbane Livewell Clinic’s standards of care and that you are properly supported long-term.
Where you are more senior, there may be opportunities to provide mentoring and clinical support to other Naturopaths within the Clinic as part of the broader team environment.
About You
You bring warmth and empathy to your patient care interactions and are comfortable making confident, best-practice clinical recommendations across a range of health presentations and treatment plans.
For each patient, you prepare a Wellness Plan which, as appropriate, clearly outlines next steps, including functional testing where indicated, recommended treatment such as supplements and liquid herbal prescriptions, follow-up timing, and a considered pathway for ongoing care and adjustments over time where this is clinically needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Health Science (Naturopathy) or equivalent
Current professional membership (ANTA, NHAA, or equivalent)
Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one
Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required
Unique Opportunities for You
If you love treating and consulting with children, this would be a unique opportunity for you, as none of our current Naturopaths wish to build a practice involving children. Make sure you let us know in your cover letter!
Currently, no members of our Naturopathic team offer Iridology or Homeopathy as part of their practice. If either modality forms part of your clinical work, this presents an opportunity to develop a distinct offering within the Clinic.
We have access to That Clean Life if you wish to prescribe particular nutrition and diet plans.
Most of our current Naturopaths maintain a general practice rather than specialising in a single patient group. We see a strong opportunity for the right Naturopath to build a focused practice supporting women through perimenopause, menopause, hormonal concerns, and related presentations.
We have a growing DNA Testing with Methylation interpretation practice, and while one of our senior Naturopaths spearheads this, it would be beneficial if you could consult with and advise these patients as well.
Let us know in your cover letter if there is anything you are passionate about doing and we will make it happen!
How We Will Help You
We will support you to focus on clinical care by taking care of the rest. This includes:
building and supporting your patient base through Clinic systems and existing and generated patient demand
providing full administrative, reception, booking, and marketing support
managing non-Naturopath administration so you can focus on clinical work
running our Reception and Administration Team in a way that supports your practice, guided by our two capable Clinic Managers
arranging test kits and booking patients for Naturopath Test Results Consultations
maintaining your core stock list of practitioner-prescribed supplements so the items you prescribe daily are always on hand
keeping our large liquid herb dispensary well stocked
managing patient correspondence and follow-ups outside the treatment room
supporting you to become known in a particular field of Naturopathy should you wish, including publishing articles in your own name and attracting patients aligned with your practice preferences
much more.
You will be supported in patient growth and retention through structured Wellness Plan pathways and clear patient communication processes, allowing you to practise with confidence within a well-supported and collaborative clinical environment.
